I was born and raised just outside of Toronto in the city of Oshawa, Ontario. After high school I completed my Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences at the University of Western in London, Ontario where I learned valuable lessons about the health care system and discovered my passion for natural healing. The following year I spent living in Fernie, British Columbia where I solidified my interest in nature and discovered Naturopathic Medicine. I spent the next 4 years receiving extensive training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. At CCNM I was actively involved in the student council and helped to organize and participate in many school events. During my intern year I treated patients at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, Parkdale Community Health Centre and externed in Trail, British Columbia.
I have a special interest in Integrative Cancer Care, chronic pain/disease management and digestive health using diet and lifestyle interventions, nutritional supplements, lab testing, acupuncture, intravenous (IV) therapy and botanical medicine as treatments. I strongly believe that the body has the potential to heal itself, given the appropriate conditions. My main goal in working with you is to gently and effectively bring balance back to your body in order to treat the root cause of the condition while motivating and empowering you to take control of your own health. I strive to work together with you in order to come up with an individualized treatment plan to ultimately improve your quality of life.
Please note that I am no longer practicing as I am attending UBC medical school.
Dr. Darcie Pawlick BSc, ND
I grew up in the small town of Fort Erie, Ontario just outside of Niagara Falls. I attended the University of Guelph where I obtained my Honours Degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics with a minor in Developmental Psychology. From there I moved to Toronto to spend the next four years studying Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). While at CCNM I was actively involved with the school and spent two years on the Student Council. Also at CCNM I gained valuable clinical experience working with patients at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, the Parkdale Community Health Centre and externed in Rossland, BC.
I have a special interest in Women's, Prenatal and Digestive Health and address these concerns through diet and lifestyle counselling, botanicals, acupuncture and nutritional supplementation. After CCNM, I moved to beautiful Kimberley, British Columbia to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle in the outdoors through hiking, skiing, biking and tennis. I also have a passion for healthy cooking and love to try new recipes whenever I can. I utilize both research based medicine as well as appreciating the mind body connection to ensure the patient receives a holistic approach to treatment.
I will also be practicing in Cranbrook once per week on Wednesdays at 911 Baker St.
